The role For over 20 years, our client has exclusively focused on serving the packaging and distribution requirements of clinical trials across the world. As clinical trials require increasingly complex supply chain support, their purpose-built integrated facilities provide the global presence, information systems, and flexibility to allow unparalleled visibility and control of GMP activities from protocol design through to the investigator site.
They are now looking for a Shift Manager to join their team within the despatch function you are responsible for all processing activities relating to the picking and packing and shipping of orders. These activities will be carried out in order to achieve maximum efficiency within despatch order fulfillment.
Job Duties
HSE:
Ensure that all team activities are carried out in accordance with HSE statutory, regulatory and company regulations and procedures
Ensure that all work place risk assessments are in place and up to date
Ensure a safe working environment by promoting and encouraging the highest levels of housekeeping standards
Ensure that all Accidents and near Misses are recorded on correct documentation that a full investigation is completed and all relevant parties are notified of such action
Support an incident reporting culture where all safety incidents are reported by your team
Quality:
Ensure all team activities are carried out in accordance with Quality statutory, regulatory and company regulations and procedures
Ensure all despatch activities are carried out in accordance with Company SOP?s and GMP policy In the event of customer complaints, carry out route cause investigation and implement corrective actions Monitor team member accuracy performance and implement corrective actions as necessary
Perform all despatch activities with the objective of achieving right first time Customer Allegiance:
Ensure a professional approach and service level, when dealing with Project Managers, DSA department, Logistics, Warehouse and QA
Focus on high business priority guided by your manager or senior management
Manage compliance to maintaining any systems processing journal with necessary updates, following up with E-Mail and telephone message as necessary and ensuring your team do the same
Team: Carry out performance reviews for the despatch team members
Identify and implement training plans for all despatch team members
Manage departmental holidays whilst maintaining service levels
Manage absence in accordance with absence management policy
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company HR policies
Cover for colleagues during periods of absence to ensure service levels are maintained
Communicate within the team daily priorities/issues; ensuring support is given in response to such requests
Ensure that their teams? training folders are up to date Manage the Induction process of new Starters within the department
Improvement & Efficiency:
Update and maintain daily and weekly scorecard metrics in accordance with deadlines
Use the daily and weekly scorecard metrics to set standards and provide targets for departmental performance
Review and manage performance issues relating to departmental metrics
Participate within departmental and cross-functional improvement teams in order to improve despatch process efficiencies and achieve the business objectives
Ensuring your full support is given to any Trackwise input and output processes or requirements Embrace and support any PPI engagement as part of your job function
